We are writing to you to request your support for legislation that would require the Secretary of the Interior to offer a portion of the 181 Lease Area in the Gulf of Mexico for oil and natural gas exploration and production. S. 2253, offered this past February by Senators Byron Dorgan, Pete Domenici, Jeff Bingaman and Jim Talent. When this bill is scheduled for floor debate, please vote for cloture so debate
can occur on the bill and please vote in favor of the bill. (continued)
